Our Commitment To You

At Lancaster Dental, we believe that prevention and minimal invasive dentistry is the best way to address multiple dental issues.  If you really understand what is happening in your mouth, you will take the necessary steps not only to treat them but also to prevent from happening again.

We develop a treatment plan after evaluating your concerns, the examination results and your x-rays. Your participation in deciding your treatment is very important because it is your mouth, your teeth, and ultimately your smile that is being planned.

While we dedicate our efforts to treat and maintain your dental and mouth condition, our services go beyond teeth. Sometimes the evaluation of a specialist is necessary.  We will direct you to the appropriate one based on your needs.

If you are looking for a dentist who looks out for your well being first, please set up an appointment. If you are looking for a second opinion, bring all your concerns. Together we will find the best option for what you are looking for.

  • Gum disease - More than 50% of the population has gum disease. It is treatable condition most of the time but requires active involvement of the patient
  • Cavities - Caries is one of the main reason of tooth loss. Losing a tooth might not be a “big deal”, but always starts with a small caries that is treatable.
  • Cancer detection - Approximately 5% of all cancers are in the mouth. Early detection is extremely importance in surviving this terrible disease.
  • Teeth replacement - Being toothless is not good for the digestive function. It leads also to early aging of the face
  • Endodontic treatment - Having a toothache could be as bad as having a kidney stone. Removing the infected/inflamed pulp (nerve) tissue helps to reduce the pain significantly
  • Fillings (restorations) - Caries “cavities” can be treated easily with simple filings most of the times. We recommend not to wait because it will lead to more complex and complicated procedures
  • Preventive Oral Care - We strongly believe in prevention. It is simple most of the times, short in duration and cost effective.
  • Sleep Medicine - Snoring is the sound we create while the breathing is blocked when we sleep. In many cases snoring can produce inadequate breathing that affect the sleep pattern.

Our Services Can Help:

Anxiety

Dental anxiety is a problem for many patients and even practitioners. Unfortunately, going to the dentist in the past was associated with pain and many people stay away. Modern dentistry has multiple ways to minimize discomfort. It can range from just breathing exercises to sedation. Anxiety comes from not knowing what will happen and if it is going to hurt. Trust is an indispensable factor in lowering anxiety.

Full Mouth Reconstruction

Full mouth reconstruction is a procedure where the majority of the teeth have full coverage restorations (crowns, veneers, onlays). Sometimes implants are part of the treatment. The indication for this procedure varies between excessive grinding, bad bite, and TMJ among other causes. The main objective of full mouth reconstruction is to bring balance between muscles, teeth, and the surrounding tissues. The balance will bring harmony, and comfort (in case there was pain before), and will look great.

Lumineers

Lumineers are tooth color veneers fabricated by the Denmat Laboratory. Veneers can be fabricated from different kinds of materials and by multiple laboratories. A dental veneer is a tooth color cover (shell) covering the tooth's front or back. Because of its highly cosmetic appearance, it can improve the smile dramatically. This is a procedure that can bring a lot of satisfaction if you are a good candidate.

Smile Makeover

The improvement of a smile (Smile Makeover) is sometimes recommended. These can be dramatic in some cases. A Smile Makeover can include different phases in dentistry. But the ultimate goal is to have a much better look that will allow people to smile again comfortably. It can have an amazing impact on people’s lives. Ultimately, everyone wants always to look good and be healthy. Cosmetic dentistry can help significantly in achieving that.

Braces

Treatment with “braces” (orthodontics) has evolved significantly over the years. Not too many people like conventional braces because of the cosmetics. Nowadays, there are tooth color brackets that are more accepted, but they also have their drawbacks. Aligners (people know them by Invisalign many times) are clear plastic mouth trays created by computer-generated images that move your teeth. This option is more cosmetic. But if the patient does not wear them as recommended, it will hinder the results anticipated. Also, not all cases are good candidates for aligners. A full evaluation will determine what the best treatment option is for your case.

You deserve a beautiful smile

In our practice, you will discover contemporary dental care designed for your complete satisfaction. We believe that teeth should look great, function properly, and withstand the rigors of daily life. Dr. Hugo Chavez and the team at Lancaster Dental combine the science of restoring teeth with artistic vision in cosmetic dentistry to produce strong, beautiful smiles.

Why do I need dental care when I’m not in pain?

Pain usually happens when the problem has been present for a long time. Not having pain does not mean that everything is fine. Routine examinations are intended to determine if you are free of any problems. Then you will continue without pain. Do not wait until you have pain before you look for help. Not only will it make you feel uncomfortable, but also will take much more effort to resolve your problem(s).
